BATTLE OF THE SCHOOLS 2003
Standings  |  Day 1  |  Day 2  |  Day 3

Day 1 - Trivia Contest
The opening day of the Battle of the Schools kicked off in Cole Hall with Medicine, Dental and Nursing facing off to see which school knew more trivia. Each school had a designated object that acted as their buzzer. The object could only be raised after the question was read aloud. The first school to raise their object received the opportunity to answer the question. The 25 trivia questions ranged from San Francisco geography to cartoon characters.

Dental jumped ahead quickly, answering the first two questions correctly. Nursing had a little trouble with the concept of raising their object after the question. Each time Nursing would raise their object prior to the end of the question, which lead to them to being disqualified from answering. However, Nursing's misfortune still landed them in third place with 11 points just behind Dental in second place with 22 points.

Medicine on the other hand, was the "quick draw" of the match, answering 8 questions correctly, and landing them on top of the heap with 28 points heading into Saturday's events.

Graduate Division, Pharmacy and Physical Therapy have the most ground to make up during Saturday's competitions. All three missed the trivia showdown, so they are all tied for last place with 0 points.
